DESCRIPTION:Duck Daze\, always the first Saturday in June\, kicks off at 10 a.m. with the popular Duck Daze parade. Be sure to secure your spot along the parade route\, which starts at the corner of 29th Street and Bridgeport Way and continues south to 37th Street\, ending at West Pierce Fire & Rescue’s Fire Station 31. \nWest Pierce Fire & Rescue Station 31 will host an Open House during the Duck Daze festivities from 10am – 2pm. The public is invited to enjoy refreshments\, play games\, learn safety tips\, put on temporary tattoos\, and much more. \nThere will also be helmet and life jacket fittings for children and adults. The cost is $17 for life jackets\, $11 for bike helmets and $15 for multi-sport style helmets. The wearer must be present to ensure a proper\, custom fit.

DESCRIPTION:The Safe Sitter babysitting class is designed to teach students ages 11-13 how to be safe when caring for a child.  Students will learn how to run babysitting as a business\, childcare skills\, CPR and choking rescue\, as well as basic first aid. \nThis three-day class runs from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm each day and costs $45. \nSpace is limited and pre-registration is required.
