DESCRIPTION:Stop the Bleed \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \nAccording to a recent National Academies of Science study\, trauma is the leading cause of death for Americans under the age of 46. Those nearest to someone with life-threatening injuries are best positioned to provide first care. No matter how rapid the arrival of professional emergency responders\, bystanders will always be first on the scene. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes\, therefore it is important to quickly stop blood loss. Launched in October 2015 by the White House\, Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and a call to action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained\, equipped and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. \nAll classes are capped at 30 students. DESCRIPTION:The Safe Sitter babysitting class is designed to teach students ages 11-13 how to be safe when caring for a child.  Students will learn how to run babysitting as a business\, childcare skills\, CPR and choking rescue\, as well as basic first aid.  This two-day class runs from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm each day and costs $40.  Space is limited and pre-registration is required. SUMMARY:Safe Sitter Babysitting Class
DESCRIPTION:The Safe Sitter babysitting class is designed to teach students ages 11-13 how to be safe when caring for a child.  Students will learn how to run babysitting as a business\, childcare skills\, CPR and choking rescue\, as well as basic first aid.  This two-day class runs from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm each day and costs $40.  Space is limited and pre-registration is required. In order to complete the class\, students must attend the entire time.  Register today! \nDue to the length of the class\, students must bring a sack lunch. Those nearest to someone with life-threatening injuries are best positioned to provide first care. No matter how rapid the arrival of professional emergency responders\, bystanders will always be first on the scene. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes\, therefore it is important to quickly stop blood loss. Launched in October 2015 by the White House\, Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and a call to action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained\, equipped and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. \nAll classes are capped at 30 students.
