Read Across America

March 2nd is an important day at West Pierce Fire & Rescue, as employees throughout the District brush up on their reading skills to celebrate Dr. Suess’ birthday.

Read Across America is a day where West Pierce visits elementary schools within the University Place and Clover Park School Districts and read to students.  This year, nearly 1,200 students were visited throughout the two districts and it’s not clear who had more fun – the students or the firefighters.

A big thanks to all of the schools who participated and invited firefighters to join in!
